/As the largest city in British Columbia and the third largest city in all of Canada, it should come as no surprise that Vancouver boasts a practically bottomless collection of fun activities perfectly suited for the whole family.
Just be warned: from outdoor adventures to brain-teasing mysteries to the biggest movie theater screen in the world, these attractions might just have the kids begging mom and dad to look up Vancouver homes for sale.

Scale a mountain!
Not just any mountain. Grouse Mountain. There’s a reason it remains Vancouver’s most popular attraction, after all.
During the winter, this 4,100-foot slope offers some of the best skiing anywhere in the world, as well as an outdoor ice skating rink and a stunning nighttime trek through elaborate glowing light installations. During the summer, families can get an up-close look at the local grizzly bears or watch lumberjacks compete in axe-throwing, tree-climbing, and wood-chopping contests.
Whatever time of the year you go, though, don’t skip the iconic Skyride, a 2,800-foot gondola ascent providing one of the most breathtaking views in the country.

Learn some science!
Even a cursory glance at the Vancouver horizon is enough to leave you wondering what that big round building is. One of the city’s most distinctive landmarks, the geodesic dome that now houses Science World was originally part of the 1986 World’s Fair.
Today, the dome boasts an ever-changing array of live science demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and hands-on learning opportunities which explore everything from the alien landscapes of faraway planets to the complex processes of the human body.
Best of all, after a long day of education and entertainment, the whole family can put their feet up and take in a show at Science World’s 400-seat OMNIMAX movie theater, home of the largest domed screen on Earth.
