Easter Gift Guide for all the Family

This is probably one of the strangest Easter celebrations that we have all prepared for. I expect for many of you it’s very low on your list of priorities. However, as levels of lockdown increase, it’s clear that none of us will be or should be going anywhere over the Easter holidays. Except for those of us lucky enough to have a garden.

There is a fine balance between keeping in mind what’s really important and also creating moments of fun and pleasure for everyone. Those of you with children will want to try and give some sense of normality. Ahead of us, there is Easter and there will be plenty of birthdays. If you don’t mark these in any way life at home will become a bit more dreary.

With that in mind, I’ve come up with a selection of Easter Gifts for the Family. Those which might engage the children and spark a bit of happiness as Spring arrives. Get your orders in soon!

Easter gifts for Kids

While many of us are entertaining little ones at home, it’s great to find gifts which encourage curiosity and keep them occupied.

Eatsleepdoodle's new colour & carry tote bags make perfect Easter presents – great for an Easter egg hunt or for all your home school books! Available in three designs – world map, pond life and butterflies of the world, there is a beautiful tote to colour in and enjoy for everyone!

Practical as well as stylish, they're made from heavy 100% cotton canvas and sturdy enough to hold books, shopping and more! This NEW range comes complete with 10 wash-out pens tucked into their inner pocket, so children (and adults!) can enjoy adding their own colours to the educational designs.

What I love about these is that when the children are ready for a new colour scheme, the pen ink disappears completely in the washing machine so they can design their tote again - endless fun!  They also look great just as they are and are very popular with adult shoppers too.

In keeping with all the homeschooling we’re doing, the tote is educational as well as creative and every design comes backed up with lots of fun learning resources on the eatsleepdoodle website. What more could you ask for!

Easter Gifts for the Family

Easter gifts for Her

One of the little luxuries which are keeping me sane at the moment is a good book. I’ve just finished ‘Educated’ by Tara Westover, which I loved, but a perfect one for lifting spirits around Easter would be ‘So Lucky’ by Dawn O’ Porter.

For those worrying about their business or career in these surreal times, ‘The Hard Thing about Hard Things’ by Ben Horowitz is a humbling, fantastic read on how the real difficulty with being self-employed is running a business rather than just starting one. However, it has great lessons for everyone including employers and employees.

Reading is one of the recommended ways to help you switch off and reduce anxiety so this is the perfect gift for this moment in time.

Easter Gifts for Him

I’m quite organised for once when it comes to my Husband this year!

As we are all spending more time at home, I’m bought him a ‘Make your own chorizo sausage kit’. This is something he can make with the children and not only do we all love chorizo, but they will create something together.

I love these type experience gifts and find adults are leaning towards these now as the memories of doing an activity together are so precious.

And as he will hopefully be keeping the lawn mowed so we can spend all Spring and Summer in the garden I’ve found this cheeky motivational tee!

Mystery Football Shirts

Do you have a football fan in the house? I often feel like a bit of a football widow. With an Italian husband, a football mad son and now my 6 year old daughter plays as well.

It’s great for them to have such a passion for the sport and their knowledge of players and teams is incredible!

If you’re looking for something a bit different, take a look at the Mystery Football Shirt subscription from boxtobox.

Begun as a real kitchen- table business during a pandemic, boxtobox has grown into a reputable brand in Wales & the United Kingdom.

Each month your footie fanatic will receive a brand new mystery football shirt selected at random from any club or country around the world!

Easter-inspired Gifts for the Home

As we’re all taking a closer look at the inside of our homes; DIY and general home improvements are becoming very popular!

Leading retailers are finding customers flocking to buy paint and start the Spring refresh of their homes. I feel the same and am currently trying to stop myself repainting the kitchen!

If you would like to make some less drastic upgrades to your house. These can be done with pretty accessories and changing the colour scheme of items such as cushions or vases.

I love these products by Italian firm Origami Steel. The cuckoo clock, ‘Can’t wait’ is such a stylish yet modern addition to your home and something you won’t find everywhere. There are many different colours available so it suits whichever room you would like to place it in.

The HOOK Apple Branch

This beautiful wall decoration is both perfect for creating a focal point in a room and practical. It can be used to hang decorative items, to store jewellery or accessories, display photos or even to hang your jackets and keys on.

The apple branch can be purposed for either indoors or out and I love that its leaves and fruits can be easily bent so they support whichever precious items you would like to display. Just like the cuckoo clock, you can choose from a range of colours. Should you wish to match or contrast to your room.

Edible Easter Gifts

Given that food orders are proving hard to fulfil I know many of you, especially those with children, will be wondering if the Easter bunny will appear this year!

Luckily as of today, I could still find chocolate eggs available from Lindt, Thorntons, and Godiva plus organic Easter eggs from Montezuma’s. Some of the big-name brands which you may normally buy from are swamped and many have closed their online shopping for now. However, if you purchase from one of these stores, at the moment they plan to fulfil all orders even if the delivery times are a little slower than normal. (not next-day delivery).

I have also been able to purchase some children’s eggs from Amazon, through the regular delivery service not through Amazon Fresh which is currently struggling to free up delivery spaces.

I hope that stops some of you worrying if you will find a Lindt bunny in the garden!
