Great Christmas gifts for girls who love baking
/AD: This is a sponsored post however, all opinions are 100% my own.
Many of us are thinking about Christmas early this year. It’s a great way to distract ourselves from the upset of the last few months and concentrate on something heartwarming.
I’ve already started doing a little Christmas shopping in the hopes that I won’t leave it all to the last minute as I normally do! I know we will also start to hear from Grandparents soon, asking what type of lovely gifts they can choose and if we have any recommendations.
We’ve found a brilliant selection of unusual Christmas gifts at Wicked Uncle. CLICK HERE to see what we discovered.
There is every type of gift imaginable to be found all in one place which makes it very easy to give to enthusiastic relatives! I’m also loving that I can find unusual gifts and those which show you’ve given it some thought.
Now my children are a little older I’m trying to steer them away from all the noisy plastic and follow their interests! This year for my daughter we’re going to focus on her love of baking.
She adores being in the kitchen with us and trying new recipes. We’ve definitely developed a bit of a bread and cake making habit over lockdown but it’s great that this is also a useful skill.
If your children also enjoy this activity, take a look at our suggestions for baking gifts for kids. There’s such a wide range of baking gifts now from quirky decorations to classic gingerbread houses!
Cake baking kits
From baking a weekly breakfast treat to full-on occasion cakes, if your child loves baking, a ready organised kit might be the best place to start.
There are unlimited amounts of decorating you can add to these cakes and you can always start with a basic design and work your way up to something more elaborate. This unicorn cake not only looks wonderful but comes with the ingredients and instructions included.
Anything with Chocolate
Gifts that involve chocolate make everyone happy but these are particularly easy for younger children to create.
Melting chocolate and using simple moulds to make interesting shapes is a great, fun activity. Parents can offer a little supervision but children do get to work independently.
If you have children who like to do everything themselves this works really well. They have the satisfaction of thinking they were grown up and made it all and you can enjoy the results of your hard work together.
These chocolate lollipops are the perfect baking gift with maximum impact and little effort to create.
Tools of the trade
A little chef isn’t professional if they haven’t got their own tools! Mini rolling pins, cookie cutters and wooden spoons are just some of the wonderful kitchen items which can now be found in a child’s size.
My children love these and feel like they are proper cooks with their official chef’s gear.
There are lots of different styles available now and it isn’t really something they will grow out of for a long time.
The personal touch
Have a look through your kitchen cupboards for one of your fantastic retro kitchen items which maybe doesn’t get as much use anymore.
Vintage cake stands or baskets you can fill with ingredients and a recipe are so personal. Grandchildren will love having something that was Grandma’s as they see their family members as the experts!
Create a mini hamper from a basket, cake tin or old teapot and personalise it. You can now find aprons in children’s sizes so one of these and a little notepad for recipes will be a much-loved gift!
Experiences
Gifts can also be a voucher for an experience. Why not choose a child’s online cooking class for the little one in your life.
You can take the class together or you can create your own lesson to make your child’s favourite dish. Once finished you can sit down with all the family and enjoy it together.
Lessons can all be bought from a cookery school or you can create the experience yourselves.
We hope you’ve found some inspiration for great Christmas gifts for girls who love baking.
Share these with your family and create some wonderful memories together.
