What to do in May Half Term?

Some of you will be looking forward to the May Half Term holidays. Others will be dreading them! What to do with little ones for a whole week. How to keep them occupied and not bored or bickering.

How to stop it costing a fortune?! It can be tempting to book holiday clubs, but they can be expensive and some children will not want to be out all day, every day of their holidays. Mine are tired already! And you might actually want to see them too!

So how do you find a balance?

I asked lots of experts! Yes that means mothers! We asked, what they are planning this May Half Term and what they can recommend?

If you’re looking further ahead these Summer School Holiday suggestions will make it easier to plan.

Jade the Thrifty Yorkshire Mum has written about something we all want, cheap or free activities for toddlers and preschoolers!

A lovely suggestion by Victoria of Healthy Vix is:

"If the weather is good then go outdoors and up a hill! The children love exploring the woods, finding sticks, playing hide and seek, building dens on the climb up. They're always fascinated by the views at the top. We love to take a picnic to enjoy when at the top of a hill, before coming back down! They get to use their imaginations, get some exercise and fresh air and best of all it's free!" www.healthyvix.com

Fran of Back with a Bump has some great ideas for keeping the children active while they’re at home.

Jemma from Thimble and Twig has such a sweet post on making that trip out matter with 24 things to on a woodland walk.
