Top 3 Makeup Hacks for When You Are In a Rush
Life is fast and often chaotic, meaning it can be difficult to find time for things like your full makeup routine, which can feel completely unachievable on a busy morning. We also know that a lot of people would not have the confidence to go to work without any makeup on, so a good in-between would be to still wear some makeup but have a shortened version of your routine for those busy days. This often means having different products which can act as a ‘two in one’ version of some of your normal products. Here are some hacks for when you are in a rush but still want to feel put together for the day.
Find a Liquid Lipstick
Liquid lipsticks are a perfect quick alternative lip look, which can look very complete in just one small step, compared to a full lip look which may include a lip liner, lipstick and often a lip gloss to go over the top. This Stila liquid lipstick, for example, gives the illusion that you are wearing all three products in one, because of its consistency which has the finish of a lipstick.
Liquid lipsticks can be slightly tricky to get the hang of, which is why a lot of people stick with the conventional lip liner and lipstick combo, but when you manage to get control during the application, you will look incredible in a fraction of the time.
Use a Tinted Brow Gel
Tinted brow gels are another way to achieve that two in one effect using only one product. Many people fill in their brows slightly with a pencil and then use a clear brow gel (or vice versa). However, using a tinted brow gel will give you both the colour and the shaping in one. Again, you may feel like you have slightly less precision with this, but for an alternative which is a whole lot faster, this does the trick wonderfully. Also, it will allow you to enhance, but not fully change, your natural brow shape, which is great for embracing your natural appearance.
Invest in a Full Coverage Concealer
Full coverage concealers will help you cover up anything you need without the need for foundation. For those days when you are in a rush, we would recommend skipping the foundation step and going straight to concealer. Make sure that you only put it in the necessary areas rather than all over, such as under the eyes and on blemishes. You can work your way towards a lower maintenance, and more natural, daytime look without having to go completely bare faced.
The best thing about having less products in your makeup routine is that you can carry them all with you in a small bag, something that would be completely unrealistic if you were to carry every makeup item that you own. By cutting down your products, you are cutting down the time involved in doing your makeup, which is perfect for people who are on the go, as well as those with small children running around.
