How to Deal with Baby Food Stains
Babies are considered “a family’s bundle of joy.” These tiny human beings bring in more light and laughter to one’s home. Just hearing their coos and cute giggles brighten up everything around them.
But as they say, an additional member to the household means an additional set of chores. And one cannot seem to fathom how a tiny creature, fragile and small, could ever manage to create a mess so great? As minute as their size is, the bigger their mess is. Especially during meal times, it would always come as a shock of how grubby, a once fresh and cute baby face, would turn out after feeding them.
Food stains are a nightmare in the laundry department. Food stains add up to the challenge of laundry itself, making it a more exhausting and complicated chore to do. Here are four ways on how to deal with food stains caused by these charming yet self-willed little creatures…
1. Water and laundry detergent
If a stain is fresh and new, it is usually easier to get them off just by running them under cold water with a bit of detergent. Getting rid of food stains as soon as possible prevents them from spreading even more. After running them under cold water, let them dry, and then include them in their regular loads.
2. Bleach method
Food stains on white clothing are the worst, but with bleach, removing food stains is a tad easier. Use half a cup of bleach, and food stains are easily removed. However, one should be cautious in using bleach with spandex, silk, or leather fabrics.
3. See a laundry expert.
Some stains are deeply seated, making them harder to remove. Especially with how delicate a baby's clothes are, the more one tries to remove them, the more damage it causes to the clothes. This is why worse comes to worst; it is better to go to the nearest laundry shop and consult a laundry expert to preserve the clothes while freeing them from stains.
4. Mild products
No matter how concerned one is about removing food stains quickly, one should make sure to use mild detergent products to protect a baby’s delicate skin. There are various detergent products over the market containing mild products, fit for baby’s clothes and other stuff.
Baby food stains would always be present no matter how much prevention the parents would implement. That’s just how it is when living with these wild, little beings. As long as these stains are addressed as soon as possible, it would not be as big of a problem as it was like all our initial thought. And by following these tips, dealing with baby food stains would not be a major problem in one’s household.
When a baby becomes a new member of a household, there are a lot of things to prepare and adjust. House routines would change, new chores are added, and new considerations are lined up. This is why parents and other household members should be ready and settled for it before the baby’s arrival.
