How to cook Peaches and Amaretti; Italian classes with Cooking in Florence!
In September I was lucky enough to make a trip to Tuscany. The weather was still beautiful and I enjoyed several activities in this stunning region, some of which you may have wondered about trying yourself.
I’ve always wanted to do an Italian cookery class. I’m married to an Italian and have had lots of lessons from Nonna and Zia (Grandmother’s and Aunts) however there is always another dish to learn in Italy as food is so regional.
Luxury villa company Bookings For You organised for me to take a class with one of their partners Cooking in Florence. I was really looking forward to cooking and learning but actually what followed was also an incredibly fun night where we all had a real giggle and connected with our wonderful hosts.
Laura and Gianluca run Cooking in Florence from their cookery lab in of course Florence! However, they also run classes in private homes, holiday accommodation and cater for weddings and parties.
Together they have such a breadth of experience from stints in kitchens in Italy to as far as London, Barcelona, Ibiza, Sidney and Antibes.
They taught my group how to make a 4-course meal but today I’m sharing their recipe for our dessert!
