Find Beautiful Cornish Gifts & Support Small Businesses

Find Beautiful Cornish Gifts & Support Small Businesses

The Roberts Gallery - Mevagissey

If you're on the look out for some beautiful unique Gifts and preferably Cornish, I may have done all of your hard work for you!

Last week I met with June one of the artists who has founded The Roberts Gallery in Mevagissey, Cornwall. I always like to support small businesses while we're away and this one is quite unusual.

The Roberts Gallery is a gallery shop on Mevagissey, High Street. It's run by a co-operative of 7 artists. They all work one day a week in the shop in-between creating their unique pieces of craftsmanship.

This means whenever you visit you can discuss first hand with that person; what you love, how they make their items and what they are passionate about.

It's such a great experience knowing that the piece you buy is made by the person you're talking to and not a mass made product in a large store. You also have the benefit of knowing you are supporting a small business and keeping that skill/craft alive.

Below you will find the details of each artisan, their specialty and their websites or contact details.

The Roberts Gallery has its own Facebook page here where you can keep up to date with the latest creations.

All of the artists welcome you to Mevagissey but if you can't make it to Cornwall and see something you like get in touch! They also offer commissions.
